Our founding team and staff members are a community of wounded healers—a specialized gathering of practitioners who have survived and recovered from trauma. We aim to carry forward a message of healing and hope to those who currently struggle.

Karrie Meyer

Karrie has developed a specialized treatment program to help those in trauma recovery heal their mind, body, and spirit. Exhale is the culmination of her almost 20 years of experience as a trauma therapist and was inspired by her own journey through PTSD recovery.

Shane Meyer

Director of Operations
Expressive Arts Therapist

With a blended educational background and professional experience in leadership, instruction, theater, fine art, writing, and art therapy, Shane uses an eclectic approach to help our guests understand the nature of their trauma through creative expression. Shane also leads our behavioral health staff through day-to-day operations. As he has continued to work through his own recovery process, Shane believes in carrying forward a legacy of compassion and hope.

Jason Nelson

Director of Business Development

As a PTSD survivor, Jason uses his expertise in Sales, Marketing, Operations and Executive Leadership to extend a message of healing and recovery to people affected by PTSD, worldwide. Prior to cofounding Exhale PTSD Recovery Centers, Jason’s career focused on the business development of multi-state sales and operations; however, through a house fire accident, he has found his true calling to help other individuals and organizations understand the plight associated with PTSD to ultimately offer every guest a true exhale of relief.

Tammy Yohe

Co-owner

With experience in building successful customer-facing strategies resulting in increased brand loyalty and customer satisfaction, Tammy is the ideal person to lead Exhale’s client relations team. As the spouse of a PTSD survivor, she has first-hand experience of the struggles people face with the effects of trauma every day. Through her own struggles with PTSD, she has come to understand the true benefit of recovery and now uses her skills and experiences to influence the lives of others, through her unique perspective.
